HRIS Specialist

Role and Responsibilities
The HRIS Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's HRIS to ensure accurate and efficient HR data management. This role involves troubleshooting system issues, implementing system upgrades, and supporting HR initiatives through data analysis and reporting.

System Management: Administer and maintain the HRIS, including system configurations, user access, and data integrity.
Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely entry, validation, and reporting of HR data; conduct regular audits to maintain data quality.
System Optimization: Identify and recommend improvements to HR processes and system functionalities to enhance efficiency and user experience.
Reporting & Analytics: Generate and analyze reports on HR metrics, including headcount, turnover, and compensation; assist in data-driven decision-making.
User Support: Provide technical support and training to HR staff and end-users; troubleshoot system issues and work with IT or vendors for resolution.
Compliance & Security: Ensure HRIS practices comply with company policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards; manage system security and confidentiality.
Project Management: Lead or assist in HRIS-related projects, including system upgrades, new module implementations, and process improvements.
Documentation & Procedures: Maintain and update documentation related to HRIS processes and procedures; develop user guides and training materials

Skills And Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in HRIS administration or a related role; experience with [specific HRIS software, e.g., Workday] preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems, MS Office Suite (especially Excel), and data analysis tools; basic understanding of SQL or other database querying languages is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Certifications: HRIS certifications (e.g., Certified HRIS Professional - CHRP) or relevant technical certifications.
Experience with: Integration of HRIS with other business systems, experience in system implementation or upgrades.
Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
