Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Clinical Data Steward, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.

The Clinical Data Steward is a member of a cross-functional EDG team who partners with business, technical, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure the implementation of industry and business data standards and its documentation is accomplished. The Data Steward leads complex, cross-organizational efforts to ensure data is fit for organizational use - including but not limited to risk assessment, metadata management, data quality monitoring, issue management, and knowledge management. Candidates should have a strong data management background and understanding of how data may be organized and of relationships maintained between/among data domains across multiple enterprise systems with a strong drive towards improving data quality and governance.

Responsibilities:

Serve as Data Steward dedicated to health care payer Clinical data operations and initiatives

Work collaboratively with other enterprise and business data stewards to align standards and share best practices, represent Clinical data domain in enterprise workgroups and data steward communities of practice

Lead Data Governance initiatives and collaborate with business and IT operational stakeholders to document, define, maintain, and manage data standards and assets (e.g., Critical Data Elements (CDEs), business terms, definitions, reference data, and business rules.

Ensure the implementation of the data governance program, tools, best practices, and compliance with data standards

Assess and monitor data quality metrics, analyze trends, and proactively promote remediation and preventive action efforts

Define and communicate metrics to gauge the health and quality of data across enterprise systems

Identify and present recommendations on business process improvements and efficiencies, including business case and implementation options

Provide consultative stewardship services to delivery and issue resolution teams, as needed, to ensure efficient and accurate flow of data

Qualifications:

Five plus years of experience working with Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality practices for clinical data standards and operations and payer data products and processes

Understanding of clinical terminology, concepts, business processes, and data management lifecycle related to Health Services, Care Management, and Health / Wellness programs (e.g., utilization management, case management, demand management, medical review, care plans, health care coaching, incentives, etc.)

Healthcare Interoperability, HIE / EDI data exchange, and EMR standards and solutions (e.g., HL7, FHIR, OHDSI / OMOP, Epic, Arcadia, etc.)

Health Profiles / History (e.g., health assessments, electronic medical records, etc.)

Health Measurement (population health, evidence-based medicine, episodes of care, gaps in care, health risk scores, next best actions, HEDIS, performance guarantees, etc.)

Clinical operational source systems (e.g., TruCare, Evicore, MDLive, etc.) and related operational and analytic reporting systems

Agile Methodology and tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, etc.)

Intermediate to Advanced skills in data analysis and data governance tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, TOAD, Python, Hadoop, Teradata, Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, Collibra, Infosphere, Alation, etc.)

Project management and Six Sigma skills are a plus

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000 or the hourly equivalent.
