Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for an Opportunity Strategy Director , that will support Corporate, and Sector, Priority pursuits with strategy development. The selected candidate should have a proven track record of internal and external stakeholder engagement leading to growth strategy development, successful opportunity capture, and associated business process optimization. The Opportunity Strategy Director will work closely with Peraton's Office of the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), Office of the Chief Innovation Officer, business sectors, functional support groups, and Corporate-Sector Priority opportunity pursuit teams to enhance Peraton's position for growth via key pipeline opportunities.

Responsibilities

Understanding corporate and sector growth objectives and operational needs
Developing innovative opportunity strategies that leverage Peraton capabilities to fill emerging customer needs.
Engaging business development, client, and technical leadership to develop strategies and shape future growth initiatives.
Leading development of opportunity strategies through multi-sector and multi-functional working sessions
Developing training and other mechanisms to institutionalize best practices across Peraton.
Working with the Chief Growth Officer, Chief Innovation Officer, and sector leadership teams on growth strategy development and implementation at all business levels, primarily via the Capture and Proposal Color Team Framework
Articulating needs, capabilities, and solutions equally well to technologists, program managers, business leaders, and customer decision-makers via discussions, presentations, and documented review feedback
Qualifications

Required

Significant industry experience across the opportunity life cycle (business development, capture, proposal) with focus on innovative approaches to capturing new business and optimizing existing capabilities for growth.
Experience in developing and leading business process improvement initiatives to advance operational performance, enable efficiency, and drive growth.
Consultative experience focused on leading teams in developing strategies and solutions to a wide variety of customer issues and requirements.
Entrepreneurial mindset demonstrated across various internal and customer-facing positions across business development and program delivery functions.
BS degree and 16+ yrs; a Masters and 14+ yrs, or PhD and 10+ yrs; significant experience can be in lieu of degree.
Ten or more years of experience conveying technical and business information to a variety of internal and external audiences.
Active Top Secret security clearance
Desired

Experience with US Government Department of Defense (DoD) customers
Proven record of leading, winning, and executing large-scale projects and contracts
Active Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access
5-years as a Capture Manager leading - delivering Corporate Priority pursuits Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
