Our Annapolis, MD based client, has an immediate opening for a Mid- Level SQL Developer. In this role, you will be joining a team of developers assigned to projects with new release cycles and O&M of existing code. The majority of the environment is internal custom applications and requires a strong developer with a team mentality to work with the Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Web Developer to complete assigned projects.

Come join this outgoing, family-oriented organization, where every day is a new challenge! This contract to hire position is 100% ONSITE IN ANNAPOLIS, and offers an on-site cafeteria, free parking, and a 35-hour workweek.

Responsibilities

  • Perform performance management, including running diagnostics, optimizing queries, other performance tuning, and ensuring proper backups
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct other programmers to make changes
  • Test programs or databases, troubleshoot issues, correct errors, and make necessary modifications
  • Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard data against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure
  • Develop standards/best practices to guide the use and acquisition of software to protect vulnerable information


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent experience / daily use with MS SQL Developer
  • Experience with SSRS
  • Strong MS SQL development (minimum 2012) experience with ability to design complex stored procedures and functions
  • Expertise and knowledge of best practices with MS SQL Server and SQL development
  • Strong understanding of relational database design


Compensation

Competitive salary / hourly rate: $96K-$112K / $69-$88/hr based on experience and qualifications.
