We are seeking a Senior-level Analyst to join the Business Insights team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our digital, informatics and technology organization and work on high-priority platforms supported by Digital Products & Informatics. DP&I focuses on the interaction of people, processes, and technology enabling MSK to meet critical patient care and research objectives. Our division manages a suite of clinical information systems including the electronic health record, ancillary systems, and other core components that enable decision support, health information exchange, and knowledge management.

You Will:
  • Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in billing, collections, and overall financial performance.
  • Work with business users to understand their business processes; gather and document requirements; translate requirements into functional specifications for dashboards and reports.
  • Design and optimization of dimensional data models to support reporting infrastructure
  • Identify project risks and impediments; advise management; proactively work with other members of the team to complete tasks as defined by project scope and timelines
  • Assist in the development of data governance processes which entails documentation and implementation of data quality policies, procedures and standards to ensure a high level of data integrity
  • Create ad-hoc queries and reports
  • Develop test plans to assure the functionality and integrity of reporting solutions
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to identify system deficiencies, analyze problems and solutions to conclude and implement corrective action.
You Are:
  • Experienced in working with healthcare revenue cycle processes and systems, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end revenue cycle.
  • Knowledgeable about healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies, including familiarity with payer contracts and compliance requirements.
  • Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
  • A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
  • Able to work effectively in an environment notable for complex, sometimes contradictory information
  • Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances
  • Adept at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational
  • Adept at building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals
  • An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and carrying out communications based on that understanding
  • Resilient in recovering from setbacks and skilled at finding detours around obstacles
  • Able to operate effectively, even when things are not clear or the way forward is not obvious
  • Adept at learning quickly, applying insights from past efforts to new situations
You Need:
  • 5+ years demonstrated ability developing reporting solutions against relational and dimensional underlying data in a multi-platform environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL programming, deep knowledge of relational database design principles, and Tableau / data visualization & BI tools
  • Revenue Cycle Data Analytics experience.
  • Experience with DB2, R & Python programming a plus
  • Exposure to SAFe or agile methodologies a bonus
Additional Information:
  • Location: 633 Third Avenue
  • Reporting to Associate Director, Analytics
  • Hybrid Schedule: Once a month for 3 consecutive days

Pay Range: $120,200.00-$192,300.00
