Job Title: Sr. Voice/ VOIP /SIP Engineer
Work Location: Austin, Texas
Contract duration (in months):12 months
Skill Set:
Knowledge of Oracle, Cassandra Database, Experience with Docker and other Cloud style deployments (Kubernetes)
Deep understanding and experience with Ribbon/Sonus SBC
Voice/VoIP/SIP expert
Able to follow each leg of a call flow and perform and provide in-depth analysis on what is or is not occuring.
Platform owner, with a great degree of familiarity in linux-based appliances and operating systems
Tier 2/3 Operational support of the end-to-end Contact Centre Voice solution, taking ownership of mitigation, resolution and followup for impactful P1/P0 incidents and lower priority recurring issues.
Identifying system and process improvements relating to the Contact Centre Voice Platform and recommending new solutions and designs.
Required Skills:
8+ years of Voice Engineering, telephony experience
Proficient with developing voice solutions, support, call flow diagrams, VUI and other design documentation
Knowledge of SIP media gateways and Session Boarder Controllers (Cisco, Acme, SONRibbon etc)
Expert with network protocols including a thorough understanding of network fundamentals
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Extensive experience with Unix/Linux OS system administration, configuration, performance tuning, maintenance and security
Scripting/Automation including Python/Bash/etc.
