IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.
Our client is looking for a Power Builder Developer.

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)
Contract: 1 year
NOTE: Local (preferred) or non-local (must be willing to relocate at own expense/follow hybrid work schedule). Tuesdays and Wednesday required onsite days. Will need to be onsite starting day 1 for hybrid work schedule which is in-office 2 days a week. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years - PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher)
- 10+ years - High level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database.
- 10+ years Experience with T-SQL Query Writing
- 5+ years - Experience working with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps, or GIT.
- 10+ yeas - Experience documenting and performing unit testing to support program changes.
- 5 years - Experience researching legacy PowerBuilder source code to document the steps the application uses with data.
- 10 years - Experience developing processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing of application data.
- 10 years - Experience in performing data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis.
- 10 years - Experience creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams.
- 5 years - Ability to work with the client and/or Business Analyst to support test scenarios.
- 5 years - Experience analyzing and documenting identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis.
- 5 years - Experience following change management procedures and provide input to execute changes
- Bachelor s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
