Travel Requirements
Day travel only. Contractors will be required to use their own vehicle and gas for travel to agency offices for scheduled and approved work.
The mileage will vary but an average of 2 days per week as required by client demand. The furthest agency offices are 150-190 miles away, but many are < 50 miles.
Mileage Reimbursement
Engaged contractors will be required to use their own vehicle and gas for travel to agency offices for scheduled work. Contractors will be reimbursed for work mileage monthly at .52 per mile for scheduled and approved work travel. Candidates will submit weekly mileage with timesheets to be approved by the Client. Mileage will be paid to the supplier with regular invoice payments.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Field Technician position will provide client's end users with, desktop, laptop, tablet, and peripheral device support. This position will be based out of the Little Rock Office and provide end user support across the state. This job will require travel to field offices. The Field Technician will be responsible for providing their own transportation.
This position will be the "eyes and ears" in for the client site. Selected candidates must have exceptional customer service skill and be willing to take "ownership" of the business assigned to them.
Tests, maintains, and monitors computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems. Coordinates and links computer systems, within an agency and the state, to increase compatibility and to share information. Consults with management to ensure agreement on system principles. Determines computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter system.
Responsibilities:
Meet with customers to compile, identify and determine job specifications needed to develop new processes, update and modify or correct existing programs and systems.
Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of PC hardware and desktop software, such as MS Office, Anti-Virus, etc.
Provide expert level escalation and technical leadership
Support and maintain all customers software and systems, including servers, workstations and software.
Provide support for Microsoft operating systems (i.e. Office 365 and Google Apps for Government)
User, group, and computer creation and management within a Microsoft Active Directory environment
Performs systems maintenance activities through error reports, user modification requests and system problems.
Assist users with setting up and operating workplace mobile devices (iPads, iPhones, Windows Tablets)
