Job Summary: The IT Systems Support Specialist is responsible for the design, integration, implementation, and modification of user information systems. This includes overseeing the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems while providing functional and technical expertise to support users. The role also involves supporting various IT environments such as labs, training facilities, and general office software and hardware systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with classified systems in the Department of Defense (DoD) environment, requiring a Final DoD Secret clearance on day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design and Integration: Perform basic-level design, integration, and implementation of assigned information systems, ensuring smooth functionality and user satisfaction.
- System Maintenance: Coordinate the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems while providing functional and technical expertise.
- User Support: Provide technical support for users, including managing system resources, user accounts, passwords, security, and system documentation.
- Needs Analysis: Conduct analysis to identify user needs, schedule the installation of hardware/software, and ensure proper system setup.
- System Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and report on system performance to ensure optimal operation.
- Hardware and Software Management: Maintain hardware and software inventories, develop and update distributed software license management policies, and ensure the recoverability of systems.
- Security and Compliance: Implement system hardening, backup, and disaster recovery measures while supporting compliance with security protocols.
- Enterprise Application Support: Support enterprise applications such as Cameo, Teamwork Cloud, and DevSecOps, and manage PKI certificate management, VDI infrastructure, and enterprise storage systems.
- Command Line Proficiency: Utilize command-line tools to troubleshoot and manage system tasks effectively.
