  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Summary:

As an Application Virtualization (App V) Consultant, you will be responsible for managing, implementing, and supporting the Application Virtualization (App-V) solutions for our clients. You will be a key technical expert, helping to design and deliver effective solutions that enhance application performance, scalability, and compatibility. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Virtualization: Implement and manage Microsoft App-V solutions, including creating, sequencing, and troubleshooting virtualized applications.
  • Client Consultation: Act as a technical advisor, providing guidance to clients on best practices, architecture, and solutions for application delivery using App-V.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful delivery of App-V solutions within the agreed timeline and budget.
  • Technical Support: Provide second and third-level support for App-V-related issues, including debugging, error resolution, and performance tuning.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the design, implementation, and operational support processes, ensuring clients have clear instructions for maintaining virtualized environments.
  • Integration: Work with other IT teams to ensure App-V applications are integrated with other enterprise systems, including Citrix, VMware, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Training: Provide training and technical support to clients and internal teams on App-V usage and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V), including application packaging, sequencing, and deployment.
  • Familiarity with other application delivery platforms, such as Citrix XenApp, VMware ThinApp, or Microsoft SCCM.
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, particularly in virtualized environments.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex application virtualization issues.
  • Consultative Skills:
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into business solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven experience in project management and working within deadlines.
  • Additional Technical Knowledge:
  • Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript) for automation of App-V deployments and management.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking in the context of App-V environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, including Azure, AWS, and hybrid-cloud solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft App-V in a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Relevant certifications in App-V or other related virtualization technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: App-V, Citrix Certified Professional) are a plus.
