About The Role

The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering a love of learning in young students and a strong background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. As the Lead 2nd Grade Teacher, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic growth, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction and Curriculum Development: Design and implement a comprehensive and interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates STEM concepts and aligns with school standards. Develop lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and motivated. Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a focused and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Student Assessment: Regularly assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations. Utilize data to inform instruction and provide targeted support to meet individual learning needs.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, classroom activities, and ways to support learning at home. Foster strong relationships with families and collaborate with the school community.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with educational best practices, particularly in STEM education, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and school staff to support student learning and contribute to school-wide initiatives. Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative school culture.


Employment Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, STEM Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience teaching at the elementary level, with a strong emphasis on STEM education.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans.


Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule. The position requires availability during regular school hours and occasional after-school events or meetings.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Compensation: $52,500 - $55,500 depending on experience
