What will your day look like?

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.
  • Building and cultivating team member morale, motivation, and engagement. Align own and team’s efforts with the Gorilla Way strategies and direction.
  • Mentoring, training, and developing teammates for career progression and learning.
  • Develop warehouse picking operations by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements.
  • Developing, maintaining, and reporting on performance metrics through the daily monitoring of labor.
  • Meeting the fulfillment financial objectives by forecasting requirements and initiating corrective actions.
  • Identify trends or operational deviations that affect the fulfillment operations plan
  • Research trends and root causes and identify solutions that best address them, accurately analyze the most critical facts to understand problems.
  • Assisting with the implementation of new equipment and processes.
  • Project Management in conjunction with other departments.
  • Delegating tasks properly while still achieving a “hands on” approach. Help others in team to prioritize tasks and ensure achievement of critical individual and group goals
  • WMS Super User.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

What will you bring to the table?

  • BS in applicable degree (preferably in Operations Mgmt. or similar).
  • 10 years of experience in a warehousing environment.
  • Seven years of experience managing direct reports (supervisors) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing order fulfillment to large retailers both domestically and internationally via parcel, ocean, LTL and FTL.
  • Ability to manage and lead through periods of significant company growth.
  • Should be goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to work well under pressure while succeeding within a collaborative environment.
  • The ability to influence and lead a multi-shift operation.
  • Strong WMS experience required (Oracle WMS implementation experience preferred).
  • Continuous Improvement/Lean background.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Requires strong organizational skills, methodical problem-solving skills and demonstrates a high level of attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus. Must be mobile and transfer from building to building.
