LockNet is seeking a Director of Procurement to oversee the organization's purchasing of goods and services. This includes managing the procurement team, developing and implementing purchasing strategies, negotiating contracts with vendors, including 3rd parties, and ensuring that the organization gets the best value. The Director of Procurement will work closely with other departments to understand their needs and ensure that they are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of supply chain management and contract negotiation. This senior-level position requires significant experience in procurement and supply chain management.

Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute procurement strategies for commercial doors, frames, hardware, and related products to ensure alignment with company goals and market trends.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors through negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions to achieve favorable outcomes and maintain high standards of service.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Oversee the supply chain processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services. Identify and address any potential supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement costs, striving for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to stay competitive.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance on best practices and professional development.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies. Manage risks related to procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of procurement activities and vendor performance. Implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales, operations, and finance, to support company objectives and address any procurement-related issues.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in business vocabulary to effectively represent the company to outside parties.
  • Provide leadership to Buyers for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
  • Demonstrating a high commitment to the Company's Guiding Principles while driving improvements to the team's engagement and culture.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and be able to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and the willingness to raise and resolve issues.
  • A strong regard for ethics.

Required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate leadership skills, decision making skills, and initiative.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing/procurement
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of MRP experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of negotiation and contract experience
  • P&L responsibility experience

Preferred

  • MBA
  • Experience in Division 8
