Title: Senior Tableau/Cognos System Administrator

MUST - The client is looking for someone with Cognos and Tableau System Administration in a Linux environment

Terms of Employment

  • W2 Contract-to-Hire, 12 Months
  • This is 100% Remote Opportunity - Candidates must reside in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Florida, or Texas.
  • 24/7 support is required. The on-call schedule would be every two-weeks.

Overview
Our client is in search of a Senior System Administrator to support the Tableau/Cognos environments for the Care Coordination Technical Infrastructure (CCTI) and Analytics 2.0 operational projects. The candidate should have strong experience with RedHat Linux (RHEL) operating systems, all aspects of Tableau/Cognos applications, as well as an understanding of DB2, Google Analytics, and other data sources supported by Tableau and Cognos. This project supports a Data Warehouse environment using RHEL-deployed Virtual Machine (VM) servers. The Data Warehouse solution consists of IBM Power servers running AIX for Ab Initio ETL, V7200 storage, DB2 Warehouse, and Linux servers to host WebSphere, Tableau and Cognos analytics. The environment also contains LDAP based on IBM EIAM Security Solution, Control-M, Jenkins and MOTIO deployment support tools. The Tableau Analytics runs off a Linux implementation and contains Ab Initio QueryIT, GA4 as data sources. General responsibilities include:

  • Perform user security management in Tableau administration tools.
  • Perform Tableau deployments in all environments following software.
  • Build, configure and manage Tableau environments on RedHat Linux.
  • Plan, install, and configure IBM WebSphere Servers and Cognos Analytics BI applications on Linux virtual servers.
  • Install and configure SSL Certificates in WebSphere.
  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Perform user security management in WebSphere, Tableau and Cognos administration tools.
  • Perform WebSphere, Tableau and Cognos deployments in all environments following Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Perform problem analysis and resolution for OS and Middleware applications.
  • Perform problem analysis and resolution for Cognos tools (Report Studio, Framework Manager, etc.).
  • Participate in CCTI infrastructure projects impacting Tableau and Cognos/WebSphere environments.
  • Provide technical support for the CCTI disaster recovery environment.
  • Provide 24/7 on call support for any issues, user report executions, application issues, failover incidents, and log reviews.
  • Secure web access and single sign on (SSO) for Tableau and Cognos Applications.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor s Degree and 5+ years of experience OR High School diploma and 9+ years of experience in the following:
    • Install, administration, and support Tableau implementation in a Linux environment.
    • Administration and management of Cognos Analytics as outlined above under Tasks Experience in Administration of Linux Servers.
  • Experience in shell scripting.
  • Experience with RedHat Linux operating system and numerous aspects of Tableau/Cognos applications.
  • Strong understanding of DB2, Google Analytics and other data sources supported by Tableau and Cognos.
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, and collaborative skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in administration and management of WebSphere servers.
  • Experience in Security Hardening in Linux and/or WebSphere.
