Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled FIX Protocol Specialist to join our team in Toronto. This role requires a professional with extensive experience in the financial industry, particularly with the FIX protocol and capital equities market. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in relevant roles and possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with our trading desk and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize extensive experience with the FIX protocol to support and enhance our trading operations.
Leverage in-depth knowledge of the capital equities market to inform and improve trading strategies.
Work closely with the trading desk to ensure efficient and effective trading operations.
Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, to support trading activities.
Manage client onboarding processes and FIX certification.
Interact with external clients and FIX vendors to ensure seamless integration and operation.
Triaging and resolving production issues efficiently to minimize disruption and maintain high service levels.
Maintain and foster excellent communication channels with internal teams and external partners.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with FIX protocol.
- Strong understanding of the capital equities market.
- Demonstrated success in similar roles within the industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with the trading desk and adapt to early morning schedules.
- Familiarity with client onboarding and FIX certification processes.
- Experience interacting with external clients and FIX vendors.
- Expertise in triaging and resolving production issues.
