We are looking for a proactive Network Administrator specializing in carrier and ISP coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a robust telecommunications infrastructure, managing relationships with carriers and ISPs, and ensuring that all network services meet our organizational requirements.

This is a contract role that offers a remote/hybrid flexibility schedule!

Position Summary

  • Serve as the primary contact for ISPs and telecom carriers. Manage all aspects of telecommunications services, including service provisioning, identifying service upgrades, understanding lead times for carriers, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Configure and maintain critical network equipment, including routers, switches, and modems, to support both carrier and ISP services without interruptions. Utilize Cisco Meraki solutions to enhance network performance and manageability.
  • Monitor network performance and implement solutions to improve it. Work closely with carriers to resolve any service issues and maintain high uptime.
  • Coordinate with carriers for seamless integration of new technologies and services.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols. Conduct regular network audits in partnership with carriers to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, carrier agreements, and performance reports to assist in operational continuity and audits.
  • Continuously evaluate the latest carrier technologies and propose integration plans to enhance network functionality and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for upgrading existing services and integrating new carrier technologies. Evaluate and recommend Cisco Meraki solutions to enhance network functionality and efficiency.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in network administration, with specific experience managing ISP and carrier relationships.
  • Strong WAN experience.
  • Knowledge of LAN, wireless technologies, and phone systems, with a strong emphasis on Cisco Meraki products and services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple external relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of Cisco Meraki technologies.
  • Proficiency in using network monitoring tools, understanding provisioning processes, and lead times.
  • Bachelor s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
