The legal intake specialist role is a bridge between prospective clients and the attorneys. You are the translator to interpret the client’s situation into actionable insights that will enable sound decisions. You are on the front line in screening for the right kind of people to join forces with our firm. You are the gatekeeper.

With training and guidance, you will leverage your judgment, background, skillset, inquisitiveness, and curiosity to assess, evaluate, and investigate whether this is the right case, at the right time, for the right person, and for the right firm.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for the business
  • Talk with potential clients to determine the right fit with our practice, interacting with prospective clients in an empathetic manner
  • Ensure all potential clients are properly directed through the intake process
  • Respond to incoming phone calls and emails and make sure the right people receive all important information
  • Update the Firm's databases, reports, and spreadsheets to track incoming calls and other key metrics
  • Organize paperwork and enter information into our case management system to streamline new client onboarding and current client files
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and handle deliveries
  • Greet visitors, clients, and fellow employees when they arrive at the front desk and provide them with any necessary directions or information
  • Assist the team and perform general office tasks as requested

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills
  • Fantastic verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least one year of legal experience preferred
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Experience with a CRM system, particularly data tracking and reporting, is highly preferred
  • US work authorization
