Gabeo.ai, a rapidly expanding startup, is seeking a proactive Head of AI to lead the development and implementation of AI models to overturn denied claims from payers. This role is critical to our mission of revolutionizing denial management in healthcare through advanced AI automation.

We are partnered with industry leaders such as Astrana Health, Athena Health, SimonMed, Rebound Orthopedics and others to address one of the biggest challenges in healthcare today: denied claims from payers. Role Overview

The Head of AI will take charge of building our AI engine, ensuring it aligns with our strategic objectives and customer needs. This position offers the opportunity to significantly influence our AI strategy, with a clear path to a potential Chief AI Officer (CAIO) role upon demonstrating impactful results and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI models for denial management, focusing on improving claim overturn rates.
  • Develop, train, and implement ML models or Large Language Models (LLMs) or similar AI models to healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • Oversee the end-to-end AI product development cycle, from MVP to production, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to drive AI strategy and platform optimization.
  • Continuously monitor AI model performance, iterating as necessary to meet targeted metrics and improve overall system efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or Machine Learning, with a proven track record in deploying AI solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in AI or tech startups, with the ability to build and lead high-performance AI teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Experience in healthcare technology or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is highly advantageous.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends in AI and machine learning methodologies.
