Program Trainer (Energy Efficiency) - Indianapolis, IN

We are actively hiring a Program Trainer to train, onboard, and mentor Energy Auditors for a new Energy Efficiency Program in Indianapolis, IN! This position is open to support the Indiana Office of Energy Development as they kickoff multiple initiatives worth $182 million across the state of Indiana, with the intent to offer local residents upwards of $14,000 each in discounts. These initiatives will start with the Home Efficiency Rebate Program, which will provide whole-home upgrades and retrofits for single-family and multi-family inhabitants, owners, and renters.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a few years of Program Training experience to develop an exciting new team with a reputable company that will make a positive impact on local neighbors and residents. This person will be working directly with their team and the Indiana Office of Energy Development to develop field personnel, with the intent to continue supporting additional initiatives as the program continues. This is a long-term opportunity and pay is negotiable for experienced candidates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Successfully train and develop new Energy Auditors to effectively complete field responsibilities
  • Ensure strong performance of New Hires through partnership with the Field Operations Manager
  • Work with Field Operations Manager and Program Manager to determine Training Criteria
  • Assist with the coaching and mentoring of New Hires as the team continues to grow

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience Facilitating and Conducting Trainings, such as Corporate Trainings, Skill-Based Training, and New Hire Training or Orientation
  • 3+ years of experience Developing Training Material, including the Planning, Design, Implementation, Maintenance, and Evaluation
  • Experience working with both Leadership and Peers to determine the effectiveness of Training Material
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication, Collaboration, and Relationship Building
  • Proven Leadership in a fast paced and adaptive environment
  • Comfortability within Microsoft Suite programs
  • Preferred - Experience within Energy Efficiency

Miscellaneous:

  • This position will sit in-office in Indianapolis, IN, and will work standard Monday-to-Friday 40-Hour work week. Some overtime may occasionally be required.
  • This is a new initiative that will provide this person an exciting opportunity to build a new Training Program and Energy Auditor Team that will positively impact many members of the local community. The entire goal of this initiative is to help residents save money through more efficient energy usage.
  • The best candidates will be excited for the challenge of building a new Training Program and will possess strong interpersonal skills to partner with multiple different stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Target starting pay is $35/hour to $40/hour but pay is negotiable depending on specific candidate experience.
