Junior Software Engineer - Louisville, KY - Onsite
We are seeking an entry-junior level software engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting the design, development, testing, and commissioning of controls systems software projects across the United States. Recently, we secured a 15-year contract to support a major player in the material handling industry and are currently engaged in various large-scale projects nationwide.
In the office, you will be involved in designing, modifying, developing, and implementing software applications, supporting or installing software applications, operating systems, and computer and networking equipment. You will also participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, execution, witnessing, and certification of software. In the field, you will interface software with customer systems, download code, test it, troubleshoot, and support the project on standby after startup. While this is primarily a day shift position, some off-shift work may be required to avoid impacting production in the facilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- BS Degree and MUST have 3.5 GPA (Will need to provide transcripts/proof)
- 1-3 years of professional experience. If entry level, must have relevant internships.
- Writing code in C++ or C#
- Python testing
- Willingness to learn PLC/HMI programming
- Travel 80-100 days/year and must be onsite everyday when not traveling.
