Senior Product Manager We are not looking for program or project managers.

  • The Senior Product Manager is part of our Product Management Team, within the Technology Org.
  • Product Managers serve our customers by partnering with Marketing, Sales, Technology, Project Management, UX/Design, and Customer Service to define initiatives that optimize our circulation, revenue, business productivity, and customer experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing, Sales, and Technology
  • Teams to:Collect and organize business needs and opportunities, and the value they deliver
  • Classify initiatives, which range from small enhancements to large projects to requests that require discovery to assess feasibility, provide clarity, or align teams on a solution
  • Identify initiatives where requestors need guidance and connect them to the right SMEs
  • Gain management approval for defined initiatives
  • Prioritize initiatives for the upcoming quarter across all stakeholders
  • Work to obtain effort estimates across Technology, Ops, and UX Design Teams
  • Work closely with Marketing and Tech professionals to detail needs for select initiatives
  • Define product requirements for select initiatives and gain approval across stakeholders
  • Engage the UI/UX Design Team as required
  • Work with Technical Business Analysts to clarify ambiguity and close gaps
  • Work with Marketing Operations to define deliverables required to complete the initiative
  • Work with Program and Project Managers to support the delivery plan We are looking for someone who held prior roles as a dedicated product management for customer facing products. This role is product focused.
  • We are not looking for program or project managers.
  • Desired experience includes working with Consumer Marketing, Subscriptions, eCommerce, and Customer facing websites.
  • Publishing or Media experience is a plus. The right person will have excellent written and oral communication skills to work with professionals, management, and business leadership, and to articulate complex concepts in an understandable manner.
  • The person should be capable of serious multitasking, as this role requires managing many activities simultaneously, it is not single task focused.
  • The role requires a person who can tolerate ambiguity, but work diligently to drive toward specifics.
  • The person will be joining an existing team and will start with knowledge transfer from existing Product Managers.
  • This assignment is approximately 4 to 6 months.
