We're hiring a controller to handle high-level accounting, managerial accounting, and oversee the financial activities of the company. The Controller will manage and supervise all aspects of accounting from payroll to tax compliance and will assist with the development of internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed.

Requirements

  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
  • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
  • Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
  • Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
  • Assists with cash flow forecasting
  • Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
  • Files quarterly and annual reports for local, state, and federal tax agencies
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Hire, train, and retain competent accounting staff.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Federal Contracting environment with CAS experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise using Deltek.
