The Client:

Our client is a leading, private-equity-backed, distributed generation platform that is focused on the high-growth community solar and storage sector. The business originates, develops, finances, and operates projects statewide.

Location: New York City - (4 days a week in the office)

The Role:

The Director of M&A will originate, negotiate and close Community Solar deals nationwide. This role will be originating from the ground up through to hand-off to the construction team, targeting projects at or prior to NTP. The position will be based in New York, and requires the chosen candidates to be in the office 4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originating and evaluating new M&A opportunities.
• Conducting thorough due diligence and financial analysis.
• Overseeing the structuring, negotiation and closing of transactions.
• Identifying potential risks and opportunities in the market.
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all transactions and agreements.
• Managing development process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Significant experience originating and closing deals - preferably within the DG renewable energy sector.
• Proven track record of managing and closing high-value transactions.
• Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
