Description: The Vice President of Corporate and Government Relations is responsible for meeting or exceeding revenue streams budgeted for the organization. This position oversees the staff related to corporate relations (40% of time), government relations (25% of time), grants (20% of time), and career transition (15% of time). This position will create awareness about USA Cares to corporate officials and all elected and appointed officials across the country. This person will work to develop and implement government communications, relationship strategies, and procure funding from corporate and government relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute USA Care’s annual corporate and government fundraising plan.

· Responsible for forging new relationships to build USA Care’s visibility, impact, and financial resources.

· Support and partner with the President and Board members on major fundraising initiatives including capital campaign planning and implementation.

· Design and implement a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances by cultivating corporate and government philanthropic support.

· Research and stay current on existing and proposed legislation that enhances USA Cares’ goals.

· Meet with local, state, and federal government officials and lobbyists.

· Collaborate with industry groups and organizations with complementary objectives to achieve objectives.

· Work closely with the Board of Directors as they create corporate partnerships.

· Develop and track proposals and reports for all corporate, government, and foundation fundraising.

· Maintain calendar of grant deadlines and write grant applications as requested.

· Support preparation of annual budget by providing data and making recommendations.

· Promote interest and provide information regarding USA Cares programs to community leaders, community service groups, media, and the general public.

· Perform other duties as assigned by VP of Finance & Programs and President/CEO.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Ability to professionally and efficiently correspond with external and internal clients, vendors, and government officials via phone, email, written correspondence, as well as with staff.

· Public speaking and presentation skills.

· Excellent attention to detail in an environment with rapidly changing data.

· Interpersonal relationships which encourage openness, candor and trust, both internally and outside of the Company.

· Familiarity with the area served as well as neighboring counties, states, and federal governments including supporting organizations.

· Accurate and timely completion of projects and/or reports.

· Maintenance of Company information in a confidential manner.

Education & Experience:

· Four-year degree in business administration, marketing, or equivalent experience.

· 8-10 years' experience in corporate fundraising and program development.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Salesforce.
