Job Summary:

As the Marketing Director, you will lead a dynamic marketing team and be instrumental in driving the company’s marketing strategy. This includes overseeing key initiatives to boost lead generation, enhance brand awareness, and increase revenue. Working closely with department experts, your role involves crafting and executing integrated marketing campaigns that leverage both digital and traditional channels to engage target audiences effectively. Reporting directly to the COO, you will collaborate across departments to shape product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies. Ideal candidates will bring creativity, proven writing skills, expertise in demand generation, and a history of executing successful campaigns within the tech space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the creation and execution of marketing plans in collaboration with clients, management, and the marketing team to expand our audience reach.
  • Work with the team to develop and refine all marketing collateral including case studies, one-pagers, client testimonials, FAQs, talking points, videos, and digital content.
  • Lead efforts in demand generation, identifying opportunities to grow our client base and retain existing customers by optimizing marketing segments, channels, and campaigns.
  • Guide digital marketing innovations that support business growth; regularly test, refine, and implement digital marketing strategies.
  • Plan and execute webinars and other virtual marketing events.
  • Collaborate with the PR team to develop editorial strategies, including press release reviews and submissions.
  • Manage the logistics and creative direction of conference and tradeshow participation, from booth design to scheduling and outreach to industry contacts.
  • Support Sales Executives by assisting with pricing proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Be a key subject matter expert on market trends, customer needs, and competitor analysis to guide marketing strategies.
  • Build strong partnerships across departments, ensuring seamless collaboration on key initiatives.
  • Attract, manage, and nurture a diverse team of marketing professionals to deliver high-impact results.
  • Negotiate with and oversee third-party vendors, agencies, and freelancers.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement insights to optimize marketing activities.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience leading all aspects of marketing, with a progressive career path of growing responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in B2B marketing, preferably within fintech, mortgage, or lending sectors.
  • Results-driven with a unique ability to blend strategic planning with tactical execution.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to turn market data and trends into actionable strategies.
  • Proficient in leveraging marketing technologies and data to drive effective marketing strategies and measure their impact.
  • Expert in digital marketing, with a proven ability to generate and nurture leads throughout the customer journey.
  • Previous experience achieving and surpassing key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ability to switch between high-level strategy and hands-on execution as needed.
  • Skilled team leader, able to inspire and manage a team to deliver outstanding marketing results.
  • Proven ability to ensure consistent brand messaging across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in marketing and communications.
  • Demonstrated success in leading multi-functional marketing teams, preferably teams of three or more.
  • Experience collaborating with senior leadership and management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience or passion for the mortgage industry is highly valued.
  • Experience with growth marketing or account-based marketing (ABM) is a plus.

Additional Notes:

  • This role will involve regular in-office work, typically four days a week at this leadership level.
