Our client, a leading apparel company specializing in children’s wear, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Apparel Sourcing Manager to join their growing team. This key role will drive cost-effectiveness, quality, and operational efficiency across their global supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & Implement Global Sourcing Strategy: Align sourcing initiatives with business objectives to optimize cost, quality, and lead times.
  • End-to-End Sourcing Management: Oversee the full sourcing process, from vendor identification and contract negotiations to production management and on-time delivery.
  • Vendor Research & Selection: Identify and vet reliable vendors across the globe, focusing on key regions such as [Target Regions, e.g., Southeast Asia, Central America].
  • Evaluate Vendor Performance: Assess new and existing vendors based on quality standards, pricing, production capabilities, and adherence to ethical labor practices and social responsibility.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms with vendors to benefit the company’s goals.
  • Production Oversight: Ensure production quality, adherence to specifications, and on-time delivery through strong vendor relationships and quality control.
  • Cost Management: Analyze cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize pricing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (design, production, logistics) to ensure smooth operations and alignment with business objectives.
  • Industry & Compliance Knowledge: Stay current on global trade regulations, import/export procedures, and sourcing trends.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5-7 years in apparel sourcing, ideally within a global environment.
  • Proven Success: Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sourcing strategies to improve cost efficiency and quality.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
  • Negotiation & Relationship Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PLM-related software.
  • Analytical Expertise: Strong data analysis skills with the ability to manage and interpret complex information.
  • Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel internationally (a plus).
  • Passion for Apparel: A genuine interest in the apparel industry, with an eye for detail.
