The supervisor oversees the environmental operation directly responsible for promoting a clean and efficient process for the assigned account. Acts as a direct liaison between the client and staff.
Examples Of Essential Duties
- Directly responsible to ensure the clients requests are assigned to personnel and completed in a timely manner daily
- Supervises work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure a clean environment
- Assigns workers their duties, and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
- Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc
- Plans work schedule for major tasks
- Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies
- Issues supplies and equipment to workers
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and takes corrective action
- Conducts in-service training of assigned employees to explain company policies, housekeeping work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment
- Attends training seminars to perfect housekeeping techniques and procedures and enhance supervisory skills
- Records data concerning work assignments, personnel actions, and timecards, and prepares periodic reports
- Attends periodic staff meetings with other department heads to discuss company policies and patrons' complaints, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Knowledge of telephone protocol. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop field procedures
- Ability to prepare and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public
- Minimum of at least 2 years previous supervisory experience
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
- Valid Florida Driver's license
- Floorcare experience
- This position demands good physical and mental health
- The housekeeper supervisor will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push,pull and work a flexible schedule
- Must be able to move continuously during work hours
- Must be able to lift and/or carry 30 to 45 pounds
