Pre-Billing Data Specialist

TELCOR Inc, a nationally recognized provider of healthcare software and billing service, is looking for an energetic and motivated team member for the TELCOR Revenue Cycle Services (RCS) team. The RCS Pre-Billing Data Specialist is responsible for manual entry and keying of demographic and other requisition information for special projects. This role will require the employee to work in the office in Lincoln, NE and teleworking may be approved upon manager's discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Entry and/or update of patient demographic data and patient insurance data
  • Entry and/or update of other requisition data as appropriate
  • Search and update of patient demographic data and patient insurance data
  • Perform benefit eligibility checks
  • Resolve benefit eligibility failures per the specific customer directives provided
  • Leverage document management tools and functions to execute duties and responsibilities
  • Enter and update data efficiently and accurately
  • Investigate and determine when or if a patient already exists within a database before creating a new patient record in order to avoid creating duplicate patient accounts
  • Adhere to productivity standards for processing a given number of requisitions per hour as determined by leadership
  • Other tasks may be assigned as needed


Requirements

  • Must be able to uphold confidentiality and comply with federal, state and company policy, procedures, and regulations
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally with tact, diplomacy and respect for others
  • Must have strong skills in follow up and monitoring of outstanding items, independently with little supervision
  • Must have strong attention to detail and skills allowing for quick and efficient navigation of data entry procedures, while utilizing computer-based technology platforms
  • Must be able to work independently to achieve individual and team goals
  • Self-motivated, analytical, quick learner, organized, detail oriented, multi-tasker, resilient and self-disciplined in time management
  • PC literate — Windows operation system environments and Microsoft Office tools; e.g., Word, Excel
