KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join a fast-growing manufacturing organization. This position is part of the executive leadership team and will oversee all accounting and financial reporting, including strategic planning, budgeting, M&A activities and risk management. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial leadership and a proven track record of driving business success in a dynamic, fast-paced industry. Ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing accounting and finance experience as well as possess proven business partnership experience, working alongside C Suite and Board Member on providing strategic financial recommendations and insights.

Key Responsibilities For The Director Of Finance

  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives, managing capital allocation and supporting strategic initiatives. Assist with M&A transactions providing strong insights on due diligence reporting and post acquisition experience
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, overseeing revenue forecasts, cost management, and capital expenditure planning to drive financial performance.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and year end financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including liquidity, credit, and operational risks, to ensure the financial health of the company.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with operations teams to implement strong financial controls and identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Process Improvements: Identify and provide process improvements and creation of new internal SOP's
  • External Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key external parties, including investors, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company’s financial operations are in full compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards, including GAAP.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Support M&A activities by conducting financial due diligence, modeling, and integration planning as needed.
  • Business Partnership and Strategy: Business partner with C Suite team and outside stakeholders on strategic initiatives and recommendations

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA is preferred but not required:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Strong manufacturing cost accounting and inventory experience is required
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and handling mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP/MRP platforms, and financial reporting systems.
  • Manufacturing experience within consumer goods and products would be a plus

Salary: $140,000-$175,000 + Bonus and Excellent Benefits
