Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester for a 6-month contract to join our team in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing all test plans, test cases, and test scripts from scratch, ensuring the highest quality for our software products. This role is primarily manual testing but offers the opportunity to bring in automation experience as needed. While no specific testing tools are required, proficiency in using Excel for testing and test tracking is essential. There may be a possibility of extension or conversion based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts from scratch.

Perform manual testing to ensure that software meets functional and performance requirements.

Collaborate with development and product teams to understand system requirements and identify testing needs.

Use Excel to document, track, and manage testing progress and results.

Identify, log, and track defects, and provide detailed feedback to the development team.

Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.

Provide insights on areas where automation could be beneficial; experience with automation tools is a plus.

Participate in meetings and provide input on testing strategies and timelines.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester, with the ability to create test plans and scripts from scratch.

Experience using Excel for test management and tracking.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Some automation experience is nice to have but not required.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have:

Experience with IBM Maximo is a plus but not mandatory.

Familiarity with ECIS by Vertex would be a significant advantage.

Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology) is a plus but not required.
