We are seeking a highly motivated Budgeting and Planning Manager. Responsibilities include revenue planning involving a large pool of Phase I and Phase II Small Business Innovation contracts, their start date, end date, materials, consultants, subcontracts, and non-SBIR contracts as well as procurement orders. Additional responsibilities include expense tracking of each ongoing contract so that red flags are raised to prevent contract over runs. Work with Chief Executive Officer, division general managers, and technical directors to plan revenue and budgets based on Intellisense’s audited and proven accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, monitor, and report on divisional and contract budgets, contract deliverables, and schedules. Monitors revenue and manpower projections, schedule and performance objectives of individual projects and programs
  • Analyze programs, schedules vs. performance, actual cost, and predict variances. Make recommendations for corrective action alternatives
  • Analyze manpower forecasts from potential contracts to facilitate staffing.
  • Assist in the development of costing/quotes including the collection and presentation of manpower and material costs
  • Analyze the revenue/budget and costing of non-SBIR programs
  • Develops tools for reporting to Senior Management highlighting any issues related to serious shortfalls in manpower, departures from planned revenue, budget, and assignments
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • The position requires an AA or BA in business (accounting /management) or technical degree (BS), or equivalent
  • Experience in real-time revenue /budget preparation and tracking is critical
  • Experience in applying knowledge and skill in analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to organize, plan, conduct, and evaluate an Earned Value Management System. Work Breakdown Structure costing will be valuable
  • Proven track record as a team leader and must be able to complete work with minimum guidance and supervision, but also work closely with CEO and General Managers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have expertise in using Deltek and Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook

Pay Range:

$95,000-$124,000

However, base salary for this position will vary based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
