Position:

Purpose of role

Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing services; supervising staff. Maintain warehouse security and building.

Main Responsibilities

Tools

• Equipment inventory management
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Oversee the warehouse to ensure that materials, equipment and building are provided for the jobs as necessary and to ensure that it is returned and accounted for within inventory.
• Implement and sustain 5s methodology.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Manage the tools periodic inspections and calibration process to ensure all equipment is fit for purpose prior to despatch to site.
• Manage the internal tool planning, scheduling process to ensure the best utilization.
• Manage the maintenance of records for all internal allocations and update schedules to ensure that all internal tackle is “in date” at all times.
  
  

General

• To manage the warehouse facilities including security, cleaning, property maintenance, waste management and building compliance/safety issues.
• Ensure activities, materials or equipment provided to business units are costed appropriately.
• Adhere to and support the implementation of Company processes and procedures e.g. data protection, carrying out investigations, disciplinaries, absence reporting etc.
• Strictly adhere to Company’s Health and Safety Procedures and ensure safe working environment for self and others.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Requirements:

Experience And Qualifications Required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to self-manage and collaborate with stakeholders
• Strong IT (MS Office)
• Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation and Risk Management processes.
• Experience of process or systems change or improvement.
• Evidence of multi-tasking
• Knowledge of plant types e.g. Fork Lift’s, Versa Lifts and their uses.
