Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Analyst to join our team, focusing on the Compliance, Security, Privacy, and Legal aspects of data management. In this role, you will work closely with our IT group, conducting metadata scans of various data sources using the Informatica tool. Your primary responsibility will be to interpret the metadata gathered, apply our organization's policies, standards, and guidelines, and identify potential risks. You will also be responsible for making recommendations to stakeholders and IT teams to mitigate identified risks and ensure data governance compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the IT group to conduct metadata scans of data sources using the Informatica tool.
  • Analyze and interpret metadata to identify potential compliance, security, privacy, and legal risks.
  • Apply organizational policies, standards, and guidelines to assess and address identified risks.
  • Provide clear and actionable recommendations to stakeholders and IT teams to reduce or eliminate risks.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal data governance standards.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units, to ensure alignment and understanding of data governance objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of metadata management and data governance principles.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Informatica or similar data governance tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and metadata.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the financial services, healthcare, or a highly regulated industry.
  • Certification in data governance or data management (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and data security best practices.
