Sentinel Threat Detection Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Sentinel Threat Detection Engineer in McLean, VA.

Duties Include:
* Sentinel Threat Detection Engineer will work with cross functional security and tooling teams in communicating and prioritizing detection engineering needs for use cases and event source integration
* Develop appropriate use cases and create alerts with MSFT Sentinel KQL for alerting and monitoring
* As a Sentinel Threat Detection Engineer, you will identify patterns and anomalies in data, create dashboards and reports

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in MSFT Sentinel
* Understand Azure concepts such as Logic Apps, Workspace, Playbook, Workbook, Notebook, and Analytics
* Understanding of traditional network security, application security, and cloud security
* Project Management/Reporting/Jira
* Documentation/Confluence
* Ability to work independently and within a team structure

Experienced in writing detections and alert logic for:
* IAM platforms
* AWS
* Azure
* GitHub/GitLab
* Windows/Linux
* KQL
* Regex

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
