Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Fraud Support Engineer with strong proficiency in Java, SQL, and Unix for a Level 2/3 (L2/L3) support role. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting fraud detection and prevention systems, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure smooth operation of fraud-related applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • L2/L3 Support: Provide high-level technical support (L2/L3) for fraud detection systems, managing escalations and resolving incidents in a timely manner.
  • Java Troubleshooting: Analyze and debug Java-based applications and workflows, providing quick fixes and enhancements as necessary.
  • SQL Querying: Write and execute complex SQL queries for data analysis and system troubleshooting in fraud-related databases.
  • Unix/Linux Support: Manage and troubleshoot fraud systems in a Unix/Linux environment, including scripting for automation and monitoring.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with fraud analysts, developers, and IT operations to ensure the effective performance of fraud systems.
  • Incident Management: Monitor system alerts and logs, and resolve critical incidents to ensure high availability of fraud prevention systems.
  • System Documentation: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for systems, workflows, and issue resolution processes.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in Java development and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in SQL (queries, optimizations, and data analysis).
  • Strong background in Unix/Linux system administration and scripting (shell/bash).
  • Prior experience in L2/L3 support roles, ideally within fraud, risk management, or financial services.
  • Ability to handle escalations, resolve incidents quickly, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in fraud prevention or risk management systems.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Nagios, or similar.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) is a plus.
