bmgstrategies is a remote-first strategic communications agency specializing in internal communications and employee engagement. We help organizations build stronger workplace cultures and communicate effectively with employees. We are looking for a social media-savvy intern with a natural talent for leveraging platforms and content creation, to help promote our agency and support our clients’ social media efforts.

Role Overview:

In this role, you will assist with developing and executing social media strategies that boost our agency’s online presence, showcase our culture, and support our clients' social media objectives. This ideal role is for someone passionate about social media, who stays on top of trends, and understands how to create engaging, shareable content.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating, curating, and scheduling content across platforms such as Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Leverage your up-to-date knowledge of social media trends and algorithm changes to create relevant, timely, and engaging content
  • Grow follower counts and increase engagement across platforms through creative and strategic content
  • Monitor key metrics (followers, engagement, reach, etc.) and provide insights to optimize performance
  • Work with our communications team to develop social media strategies that promote our agency’s services and support our clients’ internal communications and employee engagement goals
  • Assist in creating content for clients’ social media campaigns, focusing on audience engagement and content performance
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for agency and client social media campaigns

Qualifications:

  • Senior in college, preferably studying Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of multiple social media platforms and experience with creating content that drives engagement
  • Strong social media copywriting and social media image-and-video-taking skills (with a smartphone or other)
  • Knowledge of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices for growing and engaging audiences
  • Strong written communication skills with an ability to adapt messaging to various platforms
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, LinkedIn Analytics, TikTok Analytics) is a plus
  • Strong sense of design
  • Understanding and workable knowledge of Adobe's Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Self-motivated, creative, and capable of working independently in a remote environment
