  • Confidently lead and be the focal point for all architecture decisions for a large ETRM delivery program, with divergent opinions from strong personalities and stakeholders.
  • Able to create a collaborative environment where all technical (architecture and engineering) roles can work together to drive clear decisions and consistency.
  • Lead the engineering community to make sure we follow the Shell Engineer Management Standards, and have consistency and reuse at the core of our outcomes.
  • ETRM scope. Must be able to clearly articulate what processes with the life of a deal should be inside the core ETRM and which processes should be externally run
  • Directing workload of other architects on portfolio, partitioning workloads, and assigning areas of accountability.
  • Recruiting talent and supporting the creation of high performing team
  • TOGAF (or similar framework) experience alongside Enterprise Architecture tooling. Ideally ArchiMate - Bizz design tool
  • Being able to address the: Business Process, Data, Application, Technical and Information Security aspects of an IT Solution and to document that in a High Level Design document.
  • Coordinate and develop this information alongside all third-parties (Data Architects, IRM, IDSO, ET SOM, Business stakeholders), internal and external to Shell
  • Experience with the entire Trading system landscape and capabilities around Life of a Deal.
  • Experience architecting and designing ETRM services and capabilities, ideally within Endur.
  • Hands-on demonstrable experience in architecting applications into Azure platform, ideally including migrations/re platforming of legacy.
  • Hands-on architecting experience in building Microservices, Cloud Native applications, federated Data platforms (Data Mesh)
  • Azure Active Directory, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, CosmosDB, Azure SQL Data Warehouse
  • Confluent/Kafka, API Management, Logic Apps
  • DataBricks, SAP HANA, Salesforce, API management, Multi Factor authentication, Collibra, Purview
  • C#, JavaScript, Python, Go Lang, T-SQL
  • Proactive & delivery focused attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide solution architecture development, consultancy, and assurance to projects, making sure applications are well designed and conform to Shell standards and reference architectures.
  • The Lead Architect & Engineer for Aspire is accountable to the Aspire program for delivery of the high level design, low level design and key design decisions needed. This includes:
  • Being the focal point for all architecture aspects of the program.
  • Being able to address and integrate the: Business Process, Data, Application, Technical and Information Security aspects of an IT Solution.
  • Ensure the program solution architecture is documented using the templates, System Architect tooling and conforms to Shell standards.
  • Key member of the peer-review for accepting the detailed design of the program IT solution.
  • Stay connected to both the architecture and engineering standards at Shell. Ensuring we are compliant and deliver secure systems.
  • Pro-actively contribute to the development of the Architecture community and be an ambassador for Architecture. Interact with stakeholders on architecture issues and strategic improvements.
