  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required.

Description:

  • Consultant needs to be an expert in Java Development and Spring Boot Frameworks
  • The goal of this project is to automate data coming to and from retail web applications and the backend iSeries ERP
  • This project will set up Spring Boot as an intermediate between a web facing Retail/eCommerce site (Java) and the backend database (iSeries/AS400). The Retail web pages send data via XML files to Spring Boot, Spring Boot will then send data via XML to the AS400 database. The data will then be entered into the iSeries ERP system in one automated process. Currently they are using Red Hawk as the intermediate and this project will move client-facing webpages onto the Spring Boot framework for data transfer.
  • Other projects including creation of new web applications via development in Java on the Retail side and then using Spring Boot to send Data to GUI screens

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot framework and iSeries/AS400 backend
  • Consultant who has integrated web/ecommerce front end (Java) to an AS400 database (and an iSeries ERP).
  • Must have iSeries or IBM i or AS400 or RPG experience
  • Experience using XML files to send and receive data
  • Nice to have: Experience with Java RedHawk
  • Nice to have experience: Experience developing in Java on Retail side and using Spring Boot to send data to GUI screen
