Job Description:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Laboratory s motto is Technology in support of National Security . We in the Cyber Systems and Operations group look to apply that sentiment towards research, analysis, and development of operational prototypes that address mission critical-needs.
One focus is the rapid development of technology spanning the Cyber-Physical world. We support a broad range of organizations including our nation s cyber forces, the intelligence community, and a variety of other federal agencies.
We are looking for one high-quality, energetic hardware / embedded Systems Engineer, experienced in FPGA, VHDL/Verilog, Python, and C, to join our team to turn futuristic R&D ideas into practical solutions to important problems.
Required Skills:
- Digital system design
- Xilinx FPGA tool flow from RTL design through synthesis, place-and-route and FPGA bring-up, utilizing modern processes and tools for mixed RTL/embedded processor designs
- Embedded systems development in VHDL/Verilog, Python and C.
- Intel based FPGAs
- Experience with Quartus
- Experience with Matlab HDL Coder
- Experience with Simulink
Other:
- Clearance: Candidates must possess an active TS clearance to be considered for this position.
- Travel: Minimal - could be a day or two a couple times a year (domestic).
- Interview Process: Zoom interview and may consist of initial one on one and may advance to panel interview.
- Work Location: Hybrid - Candidate should expect to be onsite 3 days a week.
