Our Detention Officers contribute to the safety and well-being of their communities through the care and custody of the offenders in our secure, safe facility. Detention officers learn skills that translate to other types of law enforcement jobs.

Requirements

  • Must be at least U.S. Citizen.
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Have a valid Driver's License - Insurable Driving Record.
  • Must pass a background investigation and No felony convictions, also pass a drug screen.
  • No Domestic Violence records.
  • Good moral character.
  • Available to work shifts - 24/7 operation.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Receive and process inmates into the custody of the institution; search prisoners to take charge of personal property.
  • Supervise and control inmate behavior while performing various tasks completed during the daily operation of the detention center.
  • Follow and enforce all detention center rules and regulations.
