Job Description
Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Utility Associate in Greer, South Carolina. The Utility Associateis responsible for supporting the warehouse maintenance and safety.
Responsibilities Of a Utility Associate Includes
- Ensuring all trash cans in the warehouse are emptied during and end of the shift daily.
- Ensure all cardboard is picked up in the warehouse and thrown away in the compactor.
- Ensure daily stapps or trash on the floor in the warehouse is cleaned up during and at the end of the shift.
- Maintain empty pallets in the warehouse
- Cutting plastic off pallets and discarding
- Maintain cardboard gaylords in the warehouse.
- Check & sign off on eye wash stations weekly
- Properly store office/canteen supplies
- Water forklift batteries
- Sign off on fire extinguishers monthly on the 15th
- Any other assigned duties given by management
- Follow all safety protocols when operating the cardboard machine
- Practice housekeeping inside the warehouse by following the 5S standards.
- Confirm that equipment and materials are used correctly. Report and/or rectify potentially unsafe conditions.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Manual & electric pallet jack experience preferred
- Good verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs continuously
- Engaging in bending, stooping, or walking materials between different locations
