ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes use of safety equipment. Responsible for following safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices or conditions, and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of unsafe conditions, as directed.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
  • Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag. Must wear a gaming license if in possession of one.
  • Washes and sanitizes dirty dishes, utensils, and other items as needed.
  • Empties trash, sweeps and mops floors, and wipes down work stations to ensure the kitchen is in pristine condition.
  • Cleans tables and other restaurant areas, as requested or required.
  • Develops, maintains, and enhances positive relations with all guests and employees.
  • Alerts supervisor of any concerns regarding the quality, selection, and variety of all food and beverages.
  • Follows established security protocols to ensure that the restaurant work environment is safe.
  • Maintains alertness for performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of restaurant operations at all times. Keeps their supervisor informed of any concerns.
  • Receives training, technical direction, and guidance from supervisor.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with safety standards, health standards, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent is preferred. No previous experience is required, however, prior dishwashing knowledge or experience within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment is desirable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.

REASONING ABILITY: No decision making is required beyond the scope of essential duties.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: No additional skills are required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, stooping, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting trays, plates, pots, pans and other items containing food. Duties include lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move kitchen, restaurant or general office supplies and equipment and lifting up to 30 pounds while emptying trash. Essential duties involve a flexible workweek with additional hours routinely required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Essential duties involve working in a small, confined, work area and kitchen environment with floors that may become slippery in the process of preparing food and beverages. Duties involve working with large numbers of people while primarily in an inside environment, which are frequently loud or contain high noise levels and odors. Frequently in a hot or cold work environment due to running ovens and refrigeration units.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Equipment typical of a commercial kitchen, bar, and restaurant, including but not limited to: mixers, ovens, burners, steam table, groove grill, refrigerators, fryers, knives, spoons, forks, glasses, plates, pots, pans, pitchers, oven mitts, and various cleaning supplies.

Compensation And Benefits

$16.00+ an hour based on experience
