Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for Automotive A/C Technicians in Madison, AL. An ideal candidate is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the air conditioning systems of various vehicles. This role involves troubleshooting cooling systems, conducting performance tests, and replacing or repairing faulty components. The technician ensures all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations while providing top-quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose air conditioning system issues in vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automotive A/C systems, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
- Recharge A/C systems with refrigerant as needed.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and determine necessary repairs.
- Repair or replace defective components in air conditioning systems.
- Test repaired systems to ensure proper functionality and cooling efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of A/C systems, tools, and techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance processes clearly.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations when handling refrigerants and A/C system components.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in Automotive Air Conditioning Systems (ASE A7) preferred.
- Proven experience as an Automotive A/C Technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of automotive A/C systems and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a repair shop setting, which may involve standing for extended periods and exposure to heat, noise, and chemicals.
- Flexibility to work weekends or overtime if needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and machinery.
