Dreamscape Learn (DSL) is a collaborative venture between Dreamscape Immersive and Arizona State University, merging the most advanced experiential pedagogy with the entertainment industry's best cinematic storytelling.

We are seeking a creative, self-motivated and collaborative Business Analyst. This position will review, analyze, implement, and evaluate business systems and user needs for a core functional area. Serve as the liaison between the business organization and the technology team(s). Design solutions and write requirements specifications, develop and execute test plans, and work with technical staff to build and implement the technology solution.

Essential Duties
  • Manages projects for a core functional area by preparing and maintaining implementation plans, managing project issues and ensuring project tasks are completed.
  • Facilitates decision-making by communicating across project teams and functional areas; elicits requirements using interviews, requirements meetings, surveys, document analysis, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis.
  • Applies approved project methods, standards and processes to reduce total cost of ownership by applying best practices.
  • Serves as liaison between the functional project team and the technology support organization.
  • Writes business process documentation.
  • Consults with stakeholders and end users to conduct requirements gathering and solution design to address technical business needs.
  • Provides information to project/development teams so that solutions meet end user's needs.
  • Provides expertise in software testing design and coordinate performance of tests.
  • Supports functional users in developing reports.
  • Supports end-user through on-call support and problem resolution, as needed.
  • Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years of experience in procedural, management or systems analysis work; OR, Six (6) years of experience in procedural, management, or systems analysis work; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/ or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Evidence of a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Evidence of a technical background.
  • Experience building out user journeys.
  • Experience in detailed requirements gathering.
  • Experience in technical documentation.

This position will work between the SkySong and Tempe campus locations.

EdPlus at ASU is located at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. The center houses a diverse business community that links technology, research, education, and entrepreneurship to position ASU and Greater Phoenix as global leaders in the knowledge economy.

Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Daily use of desktop or laptop computer is required. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks.

EdPlus at ASU supports flexible work options, ranging from alternate work schedules to hybrid remote work schedules, subject to approvals per ASU policy. (This is not a fully remote position.)
