Technical Architect / Lead

Amida is looking for a Technical Architect / Lead to join our team in Washington, DC.

What you will do:

• Lead all architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation work that is done to support a large, complex project
• Manage technical aspects of multiple workstreams and teams
• Attend and facilitate client meetings and maintain regular correspondence with clients
• Interface heavily with business stakeholders, customer IT architects and engineers on all technology matters
• Gather technical requirements and represent the company's technical interests to the client
• Resolve complex technology issues and provide strategic direction
• Coordinate interdependencies between the various workstreams on the project
• Use your knowledge and experience to guide decisions in system development design and planning.
• Drive technical architectures and system designs, identify, escalate and manage technical risks to program delivery
• Participate in and facilitate business analysis and system design activities and discussions
• Monitor industry trends and standards related to technology best practices and implementation of those on Amida projects

Required Skills:

• 10-20 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably with experience in healthcare
• BS degree in Business, Healthcare, Engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent
• 5+ year's experience working with and managing teams of developers
• 5+ year's experience in the design and implementation of multiple types of systems, ranging from mobile applications to data warehouses
• Comfortable presenting to all levels of management and customers
• Hands-on technical skills with the inquisitiveness to learn products, work with them, and provide recommendations to drive continuous improvement
• Familiarity with the Healthcare system, and a working understanding of the technologies, data interchange formats, and standards used (e.g. FHIR, EDI, OMOP)
• Familiarity common enterprise architecture methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, ITIL)
• Experience with "full-stack" RESTful implementations including both front-end and back-end components
• Experience with DevOps best practices, Test-Driven Development, and Continuous
• Integration/Continuous Delivery
• Experience functioning in or managing Agile-based projects
• Experience with multiple programming languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript)
• Comfortable and effective working in new areas that require experimentation and rapid problem solving
• Excellent interpersonal and project management skills
• Excellent written/verbal communications skills

Preferred Skills:

• MS in Business, Healthcare, Engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent
• Prior experience working with data science, machine learning or natural language processing
• Industry Certifications in cloud technologies or project management
• Preferred experience in federal sector
• Security Clearance Eligible
