Job Description: The ideal candidate will leverage advanced data analytics, machine learning models, and statistical techniques to provide insights and recommendations to improve supply chain management, financial performance, and operational efficiency. This position plays a critical role in supporting decision-making processes by transforming complex datasets into actionable intelligence for federal logistics and financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement data models, predictive analytics, and machine learning algorithms to analyze U.S. Government logistics and financial datasets, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and IT, to define analytical problems and identify opportunities to optimize processes.

Use statistical analysis and visualization tools to present insights and trends from large data sets to government stakeholders.

Manage, clean, and transform logistics and financial data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity.

Design and build dashboards and reporting solutions for real-time data analysis and operational tracking of logistics, inventory, and financial transactions.

Support the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain performance, financial metrics, and operational effectiveness.

Conduct data mining, trend analysis, and anomaly detection to identify potential risks and areas for cost reduction in logistics and finance operations.

Provide technical expertise in advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

Ensure compliance with U.S. Government regulations and data security standards during the data analysis process.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Logistics, Mathematics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

Minimum of 16+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on logistics and finance data analysis.

Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

In-depth understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning techniques.

Experience working with large datasets, databases, and cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and make recommendations based on data-driven insights.

Familiarity with U.S. Government supply chain, logistics, and financial systems is highly desirable.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working within federal agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of Transportation, or other federal logistics or finance operations.

Certifications in data science or analytics (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), AWS Certified Data Analytics).

Familiarity with federal financial regulations, logistics policies, and relevant federal procurement processes.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and within a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering accurate and actionable insights.
