Job Description

As a Graduate Employment Specialist, you will have the unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of our colleges’ graduates by serving an integral role in the start of their new careers upon program completion. This is a position with a sense of purpose, fanatical customer service and follow up, positivity and drive taking pride in helping graduates succeed by starting their careers while simultaneously meeting strategic objectives and goals for accreditors, regulatory bodies and the organization for graduate, employment outcomes.

This role will execute all steps of the graduate placement process from assisting graduates in their career search to employer partnership and job development, submitting resumes and coordinating interviews while delivering exceptional customer service and support to graduates and employers alike with a goal of becoming a recruitment source of choice for employers in the communities we serve!

This position requires employees to work traditional business hours PST with occasional evening hours to 7pm PST.

Work closely with on ground, campus level Career Services team to start the communication and transition process of students to the Graduate Employment Team Center 90-120 prior to students projected graduation date.

  • If a Graduate Employment Specialist lives local to a campus, there are opportunities to participate in Career Seminars, Resume Workshops, Interview Workshops, Mock Interviews and the Graduate Exit Process.
  • Deliver high quality support and engagement to understand graduates’ career goals by providing job coaching, assistance with job search by matching graduates to opportunities and assisting them through the application, interview and hiring process.
  • Conduct targeted employer outreach and relations by promoting the hire of the colleges’ graduates through research of local job markets and employers.
  • Maintain employer relationships by serving as a staffing solution providing follow-up with graduate placements.
  • General job leads, job orders, resume submittals and interview coordination to exceed accreditation and regulatory body graduate employment benchmark requirements.
  • Leverage graduate talent to help employers fill their staffing needs in the healthcare, business, public and private sector through traditional methods such as phone calls, texting, email and online social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
  • Ability to understand tracking data and reporting metrics for the program(s) and campus(es) as assigned.
  • Consistent and accurate entry of all graduate and employer facing activities on CampusVue-Nexus, graduate records
  • Verify graduate employment records, entry and documentation maintenance to meet company and accreditation compliance standards and regulations.
  • Effectively communicate and build trust with employer to obtain feedback (through standardized Employer Surveys) regarding newly hired graduates ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and to make sure graduates are meeting the needs of employers for entry level positions in the field of study.
  • If a Graduate Employment Specialist lives local to a campus, may assist in facilitating and participating in on campus or community-based events and/or virtual employer facing and networking events to market graduates and serve as a brand ambassador to the college.
  • Responsible for a graduate working headcount of 200-350 depending on the program(s) assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
