  • As an Client Data Center Technician, you are a primary resolver for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving most complex hardware infrastructure issues.
  • You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and are able to effectively passdown knowledge of these technologies to junior staff.
  • You have basic to intermediate system administration skills and, where applicable, are able to take on remote system administration tasks working in a virtual team.
  • You have the ability to automate tasks with scripts when necessary.
  • You work autonomously to resolve most support issues.
  • You are able to execute small projects on your own, and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects.
  • You act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians.
  • You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved.
  • This will be a specific project for HDD replacements.

Candidate Requirements: Required:

  • General hardware experience or knowledge

Preferred:

  • Familiar with computer hardware
  • Able to identify specific media- pull out / change clads that they're in and put into diff hosts.
  • Hard drive handling

Degree or Certification:

  • Bachelor's (preferred, but not required) server plus or a plus- level of understanding

KPI:

  • Completion of hardware- uninstall and reinstall

Leadership Principles:

  • Customer Obsession
  • Deliver results

Top 3 must-have hard skills:

  • Experience with computer hardware
  • Knowledge of differences between Hard drives and solid state drives
  • Familiarity of common network components and proper handling, such as fiber
