Security Engineer

Job Title: Security Engineer (US Citizen Only)

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security infrastructure to protect systems, networks, and data from potential threats.
• Continuously monitor security systems and respond to incidents, including investigating and mitigating breaches.
• Regularly perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
• Create and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Work closely with IT departments to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization’s technology stack.
• Provide training and awareness programs to staff on security best practices and emerging threats.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are preferred.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, including hands-on experience with security systems and tools.
• Knowledge of network security protocols and technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
• Proficiency in security tools and software (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners).
• Experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and an analytical approach to security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey security information and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.
• Federal Experience is a plus.
