Role: Test Lead

Location: Hanover, MD (Baltimore)

Work Mode: Onsite (2days a week)

Job Description:

  • Need 7+ years of experience in the requested role
  • Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, Oracle Advanced SQL developers and other stakeholders to understand and document requirements.
  • Define acceptance criteria and create Stories in VersionOne to track the progress.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Business SMEs to understand the data fields, business rules and any other critical areas needed to be compared between Peoplesoft and Fusion.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business SMEs and Oracle SQL developers to create, track schedules.
  • Collaborate with offshore testers for further analysis of compare test results output.
  • Identify, document, and manage defects, overseeing their resolution through detailed defect tracking processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, to align testing activities with project objectives and ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Good to have experience in Oracle Fusion and Peoplesoft Human Capital Management (HCM).
  • Create advanced Excel filtering and formulas to produce reports and other presentations.
  • Perform statistical analyses, identifying patterns, and trends from the Compare Test results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of Software testing life cycle.
  • 5+ years’ experience working as Test lead.
  • Able to Analyze Oracle SQL code.
  • Familiarity with Oracle tools such as SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and TOAD.
  • Must have advanced Excel skills including filtering, sorting, and complex formulas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in generating detailed reports of comparing test results, highlighting issues and suggesting resolutions.
  • Experience with Tools and Techniques for comparing large data sets across different environments.
  • Familiarity with Peoplesoft and Fusion database structures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analyze data related issues and be able to report it.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, OCI, and other Oracle cloud technology.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Minimum 3+ years of working experience of test management tools like qTest.
  • Competence in collaborating with cross-functional teams including development, DevOps, and Automation Teams.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe Agile principles.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira or VersionOne.
